Waleed Khamies - Applied ML Scientist

I am Waleed, applied machine learning scientist at NTWIST and on the PhD track at the University of Alberta, exploring the intersection of AI and healthcare.

Previously, I worked as a research engineer intern at Mila under the supervision of Liam Paull, where my research focused on developing deep learning models that are suitable to robotics applications in noisy scenarios. I received my master at AMMI in Mathematical sciences/Machine learning, where I worked in interpretability of reinforcement learning under the supervision of George konidaris, previously I received my bachelor degree at UofK in Electrical and electronics engineering, where I worked under the supervision of Benjamin Rosman.
